Rita was one of the dogs surrendered by an elderly woman who got way in over her head. Even though she couldn’t afford vet care for all her dogs all the time, she took very good care of them in all the other ways that she could. All her pets loved her very much, but had not really been socialized with other people. The dogs Guardian Angel Pet rescue were able to take in are coming around very quickly. Rita was one that came right in and acclimated instantly. She may be happiest in a home with a woman, since that is what she is used to. She is just an absolute sweetheart, and follows the other dogs in her foster home outside. Rita is approximately five years old. She is heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and scheduled for spay and microchip after boosters. She is very calm and easy dog to have around. She will be great for more mature home.
