These 2 cute little boys are around 10 weeks old. They were rescued by one of our volunteers, who is their very own Guardian Angel. We received a call for help about 2 puppies born in a field behind his house. It had been raining and the forecast called for snow and freezing temps. The pups were only 2 weeks old and he knew they would not survive. The mother would not let him near her.

Our volunteer was able to get the babies but could not get close to mom. The pups were bottle fed until they were old enough to eat by themselves. Griz already had an upper respiratory infection from being in the cold & damp, but now he is healthy & strong!

Griz is the brown pup and he is very active and playful. Avalanche is more quiet, calm, and laid back.    Their mother looked to be about 40-45 lbs and at best guess is a fluffy mix, possibly German shepherd.

They are both very sweet and playful puppies.  They have had their 1st set of shots.  These cuties are more than likely going to be good size dogs although the mother only looked to be about 40 lbs.  If you are interested in a big family member, please give Griz or Avalanche their new forever home.
