Ernie is a 2 year old, 7 pound Chihuahua mix. He is an adorable fella, with a boxy little frame and an apple head. Ernie came to GAPR on New Year’s Eve, after spending several weeks camping out on porches in a residential neighborhood. Neighbors believe that he was abandoned when his “family” moved out of their neighborhood. Overall he is quiet and tends to sit back and observe, but he can also be very playful and affectionate. Ernie is dog, cat, and kid friendly. He does best in low to medium activity situations/households. The more time you have to get down on Ernie’s level to play and cuddle, the more of his cute personality you will get to experience. Ernie is neutered, microchipped, heart worm negative, and up-to-date on all shots and routine prevention. He is crate trained and working on house training.
