Dixie is a five-year-old female Wire-Haired Terrier who we rescued from the Marion Animal Shelter after her Momma died. It is so sad how many beloved pets are displaced because of illness and death. Dixie is an adorably loving girl. She is fine with other dogs, but she is not really going to play with them. Her devotion is to her person. Dixie is somewhat a “drama queen” as you will definitely know if something hurts her or makes her uncomfortable. And she does not forget it. But she is happy to just be with her person. She is heartworm negative, spayed, current on all vaccinations, and micro-chipped. I would say perfect home for her would be in a home that is less chaotic with a more mature family. She seems fine with the children at adoption day, but I think she would be happier in a home without toddlers as she wants to be the baby. She is housebroken. Hopefully, she can fine her final home soon.
