Bo is a 2 year old male black and tan Chiweenie – although he does look mostly Dachshund, but small like a Chihuahua. He was one of three siblings surrendered to a shelter in Mississippi. They all three had mild heartworms, but are just about through treatment and have done just fine. The female has already been adopted, but Joe and Bo are still available in a couple of weeks. They are both very sweet and affectionate. They would be a little barky for an apartment, but will probably bark much less in a home with less dogs and being out of the crate more. They are not totally housebroken – as most of the Dachshunds I have encountered – but they do not potty in their crate. Bo is about 6 lbs and Joe is about 10 lbs. Bo is less skittish than Joe, but they have gotten much better since I have had them. They are fine with other dogs and I would not worry about them around older children. I am afraid smaller children might hurt them – not the other way around.
